Founded in May 2000, the company launched its industrial production in 2002. Since then OOO Sevlespil has scaled up its production output fourfold and has become a leading manufacturer of softwood sawn lumber in Komi.
With Spruce and Pine being dominant species processed, the sawmill sources raw material from its own harvesting operations as well as from the Republic’s biggest loggers.
In order to meet high quality standards and to become a competitive market player, the company annually implements investment programs aimed at modernization and development of its production facilities. Due to these programs, the company’s 2010 production output will have increased to 200 000 m³.
The main product is softwood sawn lumber. The high quality of the product and the company’s reputation of a reliable business partner make it possible to sell 85 % of its goods abroad in such countries as Egypt, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Tunisia, Greece, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Estonia, Lithuania, and others.
The competitiveness of the products is achieved due to a strict quality control system applied at all production stages: from sawlogs acceptance procedures to finished products warehousing. Sawn timber grading is done in strict compliance with nation quality standards, GOST 9302-83 and GOST 8486-86. In 2012 the company got its operations FSC CoC certified (FSC-CO15507).
Equipped with side-tracks, OOO SevLesPil’s production site has direct access to the railroad. The company’s loading area permits to handle 10 open-box cars and the railroad infrastructure allows to organize continuous dispatch of goods.
